SteadCase provides organization tools and educational information only. SteadCase is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer, paralegal, court staff, or legal clinic.
What SteadCase is
SteadCase is a private organization and preparation tool. It helps you keep track of incidents, evidence, court dates, deadlines, parenting issues, and preparation tasks related to a family law matter in Ontario.
What SteadCase is not
- It is not a law firm and does not employ your lawyer or paralegal.
- It does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or representation.
- It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer, paralegal, court staff, or legal clinic.
- It does not guarantee any particular result in any proceeding.
- It does not file documents with, or communicate with, any court.
Your records are user-driven
Everything in your SteadCase account — incidents, journal entries, evidence, timelines, court dates, parenting issues, notes, and any exported summaries — is created and entered by you. SteadCase organizes and stores what you choose to put in. It does not write, generate, verify, fact-check, or review your content, and it does not decide what is true, relevant, or admissible.
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of the information you enter.
- How you use anything you export or produce from SteadCase in your matter.
- Confirming what is appropriate to rely on, submit, or serve with a qualified legal professional and with the relevant court.
Exports, checklists, and summaries are organizational aids — they are not legal documents, legal advice, or court filings.
Use your own judgment
Information provided in SteadCase is general and educational. Family law is fact-specific and changes over time. Always confirm important steps, deadlines, and requirements with a qualified legal professional and with the relevant court.
No lawyer–client relationship
Using SteadCase does not create a lawyer–client relationship between you and SteadCase or anyone associated with it.
This page is a starting template and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before public launch.
